El Núcleo Milenio para Aplicaciones de Control y Problemas Inversos se concentra en encontrar soluciones innovadoras a problemas aplicados creando métodos desde la modelación matemática, problemas inversos y teoría de control. Para lograr esto, el estudio de métodos basados en la física y en datos es una característica clave para ampliar las fronteras del conocimiento.
Nuestra investigación se enfoca en campos de reconocimiento mundial en Chile: instrumentación astronómica, neurociencias e imágenes medicas, los cuales estimamos puedan beneficiar de manera complementaria de análisis cuantitativos y teóricos. Nuestro sello es el uso de métodos clásicos y de aprendizaje automático.
The Millennium Nucleus for Control Applications and Inverse Problems focuses on finding innovative solutions to applied problems by creating methods from mathematical modeling, inverse problems and control theory. To achieve this, the study of physics-based and data-driven methods is a key feature to expand the frontiers of knowledge.
Our research focuses on fields of worldwide recognition in Chile: astronomical instrumentation, neurosciences and medical imaging, which we believe can benefit in a complementary way from quantitative and theoretical analysis. Our hallmark is the use of classical and machine learning methods.
